Maranta leuconeura 'Green' is a beautiful and understated cultivar of the classic Prayer Plant, admired for its vivid chartreuse-green leaves, accented by dark herringbone-patterned veins and a subtle sheen. The elliptical foliage folds upward at night—a phenomenon known as nyctinasty—giving this plant its common name and adding a sense of movement and rhythm to your space.
Native to the tropical forest floors of Brazil, this low-growing species thrives in low to medium indirect light, high humidity, and consistently moist, well-draining soil. Its trailing or mounding habit makes it ideal for hanging baskets, shallow pots, or grouped with other humidity-loving houseplants.
Please Note: We try to photograph a good representation of the style, size and overall look of the plant category. Should there be specific variants (such as our Imperfect Plants) they will be marked as such. Each plant is unique in it's own way, so we cannot guarantee the exact number of leaf or stem counts.
Our hand-made blend is made in small batches and includes high quality components that create well-draining soil to combat root rot while giving your plants the moisture they need. What's more, each bag is enhanced with essential oils to deter pests and add a delightful, subtle fragrance when potting your beloved plants!
