The term "Resurrection Plant" typically refers to several different plants known for their remarkable ability to survive extreme dehydration. The most well-known species is Selaginella lepidophylla, commonly known as the "Rose of Jericho" or "Dinosaur Plant."
It has a fibrous, mat-like growth habit with small, scale-like leaves arranged in overlapping rows. When hydrated, the plant is lush and green, with a somewhat fern-like appearance. The leaves are typically around 1-2 mm long. The Resurrection Plant is a fascinating example of nature’s resilience, showcasing an extraordinary ability to survive and recover from extreme conditions.

- Pet Friendly: Yes
- Humidity: Air is an important component of the health of an Air Plant. All Air Plants live off the air and will be healthier in a terrarium that is not enclosed. Place your Air Plant at a distance from your heater or cooler to avoid drying out the plant. After watering, Air Plants should be given enough light and air circulation to dry in four hours or less. Do not keep the plant constantly wet or moist.
- Difficulty: Easy
Please Note: We try to photograph a good representation of the style, size and overall look of the plant category. Should there be specific variants (such as our Imperfect Plants) they will be marked as such. Each plant is unique in it's own way, so we cannot guarantee the exact number of leaf or stem counts.
